Buyers can make offers on listed items. This feature allows potential buyers to make an offer to the seller if the item has not received any bids. The seller can select whether or not to accept such offers and also set the price range of offers they are willing to consider.
Once you place your bid, you are agreeing to purchase the item if you are the highest bidder. It is up to you to carefully review the listing and ask the appropriate questions to make sure you are ready to commit to buying the item. Changing your mind is not an acceptable excuse.
There are certain circumstances that will warrant a bid retraction :
- If the seller has made a significant change to the title or description
- If a seller is non-responsive to your attempts to communicate via email or phone
- An honest, apparent, typo was made when placing your bid
Once you place a bid, you have made a contractual commitment to purchase the item. Do not bid unless you are certain you want an item. There will be extenuating circumstances and we suggest that you contact the seller to discuss your situation. Honesty and openness can go a long way; however, it is never a good practice to be dishonest because you have buyer’s remorse.
